Hawzah News Agency- On the sidelines of the Regional Islamic Unity conference which is being held in the Iranian city of Sanandaj a Sunni scholar Mamousta Mustafa Shirzadi had an interview with Hawzah News in Kurdistan province and said, “holding a regional conference of Islamic unity in Sanandaj was a necessary task in the current era, an era when Islamic unity has been attacked relentlessly by enemies.”
The Friday prayer imam of Marivan city further added that in this conference, Sunni and Shia scholars expressed their opinions, suggestions and solutions for Muslims to achieve true unity, which was very valuable.
Mamousta Shirzadi went on to say that undoubtedly, another outcome of this conference could be an increase in the level of interaction between the scholars of the two Islamic sects. In this conference, a single common thought was created, and the need for reaching such religious and cultural common thought had been felt for many years.
Mamousta Shirzadi emphasized the continuity of such programs and said, “holding the regional conference of Islamic unity, which was held around the axis of Muslim unity, can solve many important issues of the Islamic world, such as the issue of Palestine, Quds, the people of Yemen, Iraq, etc. and perhaps in such meetings, practical solutions for these issues will be presented by Islamic thinkers.”
